Douglas County, CO - Effective Friday, August 8, 2025, Stage 1 Fire Restrictionswill be in place for all areas of Douglas County due to heightened fire danger conditions.
These restrictions are implemented to reduce the risk of wildfires and ensure public safety throughout the county.
The Following Activities Are Not Allowed Under Stage 1 Restrictions:
  • No open burning of any kind
  • No use of fireworks
  • No use of model rockets
The Following Activities Are Allowed:
  • Fires within liquid-fueled or gas-fueled stoves
  • Fireplaces within buildings
  • Charcoal grill fires within developed residential or commercial areas
  • Wood-burning stoves within buildings
  • Professional fireworks displays in compliance with Section 12-28-103 of the Colorado Revised Statutes
  • Fire suppression or fire department training fires
  • Small recreational fires in fixed, permanent metal/steel fire pits located at developed picnic or campground sites (Note: Rock fire rings are considered temporary and not permitted)
  • Residential use of:
    • Charcoal grills
    • Tiki torches
    • Chimineas
    • Portable fireplaces or patio fire pits, provided they are:
      • Supervised by a responsible person 18 years or older
      • Maintained in a safe and controlled manner
Penalties:Violation of these fire restrictions is classified as a Class 2 Petty Offense, punishable by up to a $1,000 fine and a $10 surcharge.
We urge all residents and visitors to exercise caution and help us prevent wildfires during this high-risk period.

Meeting are open to PPE residents. If you'd like to attend a meeting, please email us at [email protected].

Due to work and travel schedules, meetings may sometimes be cancelled last minute.   A resident who wishes to address the Board must submit an email notification a week before the meeting with their name, address, contact information, and topic(s) of discussion to be added to the agenda. 

​Annual dues are $100.00 and can should be paid in January of each calendar year. Benefits for dues paying neighbors includes discounted chipping each year(spring or fall) and inclusion to at least one HOA sponsored events(picnic, BBQ, etc.).
